In Powerless, seventeen-year-old Paedyn Gray, known as Pae, lives in the suffering slums of Loot Alley in the kingdom of Ilya. She is an Ordinary, meaning she was born without any supernatural powers. Due to a devastating Plague, the survivors, known as Elites, gained extraordinary abilities.
